Barbering Instructional Video: Initial Meeting With Client, Mark Sowerby of Sunderland College

Today's date is the 29th April - we have had the first meeting with our client for our barbering instructional video, Mark Sowerby, in a Microsoft Teams group call. This meeting allows us to ask questions to our client - further expanding our understanding of what the client wants for this project. Furthermore discussing particular queries allows me to voice particular things that I am unsure about.  Initially Mark gave us information about our audience: our audience are Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC students that are studying hairdressing at Sunderland City Campus. This information allows me to expand upon my audience research proposed in  We are using Level 2 and Level 3 student models for the video - in which they are to get their hair cut by Mark Sowerby.  Audience is students Record in silence - put music over and narration Something else we need to do whilst filming is we need to take stills/photos of models  The average haircut takes 20 minutes - so we're expected ...

We have been tasked in creating an instructional video for Sunderland College and 'Barbering Professionals' regarding informing Level 2 and Level 3 barbering students, studying  at Sunderland City Campus about certain styles of cutting hair. In preparation of the creation of this product, our lecturers tasked us with creating an instructional video of our choice; to develop my understanding of typical codes and conventions of creating instructional videos - as to that when I eventually come to creating the final product for Sunderland College and Barbering Professionals, it will assumedly be to a higher standard of professionalism.  In terms of formulating my idea: the idea I chose was a skateboarding instructional video. I chose this idea as skateboarding is a frequent hobby of mine - meaning I am already familiar with the subject matter. Another reason I chose this idea is in terms of practicality as it is relatively easy to shoot.
